Hiking Cala Luna
A truly suggestive way to reach Cala Luna from Cala Gonone is via one of the most famous and popular trekking routes.
Departing from the Buchi Arta sheepfold, one crosses an enchanted forest, an impressive canyon to reach and walk a section of the magnificent Codula di Luna.
Upon reaching the beach of Cala Luna, it is possible to take a swim in its enchanting waters and then choose to return by boat.

Cala Gonone and Codula di Luna
The trek begins at Buchi Arta, a few kilometres from Cala Gonone. The path initially winds its way through a dense holm-oak forest and continues inside a wide valley until it reaches the 'Scala S'Arga', the steepest point of the route.
It then continues in a fairy-tale setting: from junipers set among the rocks to an oleander garden within the river's tailrace leading to the beautiful beach of Cala Luna.
When the season permits, one can regenerate oneself with a swim in the turquoise waters of the cove before tackling the return path.
It is possible to end the trek by sea with the shuttle service to Cala Gonone.
