Canyoning Codula Orbisi Urzulei
The canyon is located in the Urzulei supramonte area in the heart of Sardinia and is one of the most spectacular canyons in Sardinia.
The Codula Orbisi canyoning route is located in the Supramonte di Urzulei. As to reach the Donini cave, one proceeds along the SS 125 and in the vicinity of the famous Genna Silana pass, one turns onto a side road that shortly leads to the Planu Campu Oddeu plateau. The approach road is worth a few stops with photos!
When you reach Sedda Ar Baccas, you leave your car and in a few minutes you reach the first arm to begin the descent of the Codula. The passage through the Grotta dei Colombi (Cave of the Pigeons) is not to be missed.

Codula Orbisi is a natural wonder in the heart of the Urzulei Supramonte, the ideal place for canyoning. Over geological eras, the waters have sculpted a deep canyon full of extraordinary facets.
Incredibly primordial, the Codula Orbisi reserves thrilling rappels over crystal-clear pools and breathtaking stretches of easy climbing. This canyoning in the heart of the wildest Sardinia is the ideal place to set out to discover the wonderful Supramonte di Urzulei.
The off-road approach begins on asphalt and then continues on dirt roads: an exciting adventure of about one hour.
Halfway down is the famous Pischina Urthaddala, an enchanted pool where you can cool off and admire the breathtaking view.
At the end of the gorge one reaches 'Sa Giuntura', where the stream crosses the Riu Flumineddu. Both the Flumineddu and the stream flow down to the magnificent Su Gorropu Gorge.
The return journey is the perfect time to let the beauty of nature imprint itself on your heart.
